The best way is a free consultation — we assess your hair color, skin tone, and the areas you want treated. As a general guide: laser works best for darker hair (black or brown) and is ideal for larger areas like legs, back, and arms. Electrolysis works on every hair color including blonde, red, and gray, and is better suited for smaller precision areas like brows, upper lip, and chin.

Our Aerolase Neo Elite is designed to be virtually pain-free — most clients describe it as a light warmth or a gentle snap. No numbing cream is required. Electrolysis involves a fine probe at each follicle, so some clients feel a brief pinch or warmth at each point. Sensitivity varies by area and individual, but both treatments are very well tolerated.

For laser, most clients see optimal results in 4–8 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart, depending on the area and hair growth cycle. Electrolysis sessions vary more widely based on the size of the area and hair density — your provider will give you a personalized estimate at your consultation.

For laser: shave the treatment area 24 hours before your appointment, avoid sun exposure and self-tanner for at least 2 weeks prior, and stop using retinol or exfoliating products for a few days beforehand. For electrolysis: allow a small amount of hair growth (about 2–3 days) so the probe can target the follicle accurately. Avoid waxing or plucking before either treatment.

After laser, you may notice slight redness or warmth in the treated area — this typically fades within a few hours. There is no downtime. After electrolysis, minor redness or temporary swelling at the treated follicles is normal and resolves quickly. For both methods, avoid sun exposure and apply SPF to treated areas.
